Queens Crescent

After the installation of a trial period of pedestrianisation by London Borough of Camden in Queen’s Crescent, Street Space were commissioned for a 6 month period of community engagement to better understand the range of community perspectives towards the controversial scheme.

Using listening, creative engagement and a dynamic period of testing in the street environment we were able to understand and gather insights from across different parts of the community. Testing included a pop-up book swap, a creative action day, a street-based supper club, a play street and a market celebration day collaborating with 12 local organisations to engage with 263 local residents over 6 test events.

“Your team are a breath of fresh air! The quality of materials and communication is top notch!”

— Karl Brierley, Principal Transport Planner, London Borough of Camden
