Nature’s Way

Building on our collaborative work to develop the Ginnel Garden Guidebook during 2025 working with Bradford MDC Public Health Team we’re delighted to be a part of a team of local organisations delivering Nature’s Way.

Led by Yorkshire Wildlife Trust this collaboration between Street Space, Get Out More and Better Place Bradford will support inner-city communities to transform their neighbourhoods into thriving havens for people and wildlife.

Rooted in local collaboration and participatory practice, Nature’s Way will build long-term relationships with residents, community leads, grassroots groups and local institutions - listening to their needs and supporting their ambitions to reclaim, reimagine and restore local environments by co-creating treasured natural spaces to support people’s wellbeing.

With partners working across nine wards in Bradford District, we will be working in Heaton and Tong. In Heaton we’ll be supporting this work through the creation of a peer group to hold space and support people with a curiosity or interest in transforming a local doorstep space.

In Tong we’ll be partnering with United Art Project to engage and foster nature connection and creative grey to green initiatives rooted in local leadership with the potential for long term sustainability. Do you know of a neglected or underused space in either of these wards with the potential for healing and transformation? Get in touch with us here!
