Collaboratively Designing a Ginnel Garden Guidebook
Commissioned by Bradford District Public Health team we worked with the Lister Community Action Group to develop an engaging and dynamic resource that would help support local residents across Bradford District to find pockets of unloved and unused spaces in their own neighbourhoods and transform them into pocket parks for both people and nature!
Between March and July 2025 we worked to develop the content, look and feel of the Guidebook with the group to share their own story of creating a Ginnel Garden.
Following the creation of the Guidebook, between September and December 2025 we are working to test the Guidebook across Bradford District to gather feedback and explore with community members what else they might need to support local transformation of unused or unloved public space.
Take a look at the current version of the Ginnel Garden Guidebook for yourself below and get involved with our community activation programme in Keighley, Tong and Manningham!
